Below find a listing of high school applications and information on their timelines.  Please bookmark this page and use it as a resource for your students!

Clark Prep High School - A FirstLine School

Clark Prep is an RSD Charter School and will participate in the RSD Common Application Process. We will post the common application here once it is available in February 2012.

Other RSD Charter Schools that will use the common app:  Sci Academy (and its other two charters, known as Collegiate Academies), O. Perry Walker, New Orleans College Prep at Walter L. Cohen, Abramson, Algiers Technology Academy, MLK Charter, KIPP Renaissance, Lake Area New Tech ECHS, Miller-McCoy, Sophie B. Wright.

Catholic Schools Students wishing to apply to Catholic Schools should complete the Archdiocese Application and turn it in to the school of their choice.  Then, the student and parent should plan to attend the school's Application Day, which is Saturday, January 7, 2012.  Parent participation is essential in this process.

Selective Schools Selective Schools have rigorous application requirements to determine student eligibility for admission.

LUSHER: Lusher requires all applying students test for admission. The next test date is December 10, and applications are due by December 7 to qualify for that test.  Lusher's final application due date is January 13, with a test the following day on January 14. Spots at Lusher are very competitive, even for students who meet the matrix.  ALL supporting documents (personal info docs, test scores, report cards) are required for application.

BEN FRANKLIN: Ben Franklin apps are due January 16, 2012, although they will continue to take applications as long as space is available, and they haven't filled up in recent years until the summer. Students who do not initially meet the Ben Franklin matrix may choose to test for admission, on January 14, March 3 and May 5. ALL supporting documents (personal info docs, test scores, report cards) are required for application.

NOCCA: NOCCA Applications are due January 30, 2012. Students who are planning to apply to NOCCA should be already working on their portfolios or auditions by winter break.  ALL supporting documents (personal info docs, test scores, report cards, letter of recommendation) are required for application.  Students applying for the full-day Academic Studio must complete both the Arts application and the Academic Studio application.

Open-enrollment schools with their own procedures

McMAIN and McDONOGH 35: McMain and McDonogh 35 are NOPS schools, and students may apply to both through the NOPS application.  Students will select which school they are applying to by checking the box on the bottom of the application.  The initial deadline for applications is Friday, December 2, 2011. ALL supporting documents (personal info docs, test scores, report cards AND a recommendation letter) are required for application.

WARREN EASTON: Warren Easton's final deadline is January 13. ALL supporting documents (personal info docs, test scores, report cards) are required for application.

EDNA KARR: Edna Karr applications are available now, and will begin being accepted January 4, 2012. Applications are due February 4, 2012.
