Get Involved
We need your help to make sure our proven approach to education continues its record of sustainable success. We are committed to providing all of our students with the additional tutoring and academic support they need as well as providing gardening, cooking, sports, music, dance, art, and other enrichment activities on top of our core academic program. How can you help? We encourage you to do three things:
Visit
Call to arrange a visit to see the work we are doing. To visit one of our schools, call Martha McKnight at 504-228-1878.
The Edible Schoolyard garden attracts people from the neighborhood and farther afield, and many of the visitors help us keep the garden tidy. It’s gorgeous (unless we’re breaking heat records) and a great way to get an idea of what makes our schools distinctive. To visit the Edible Schoolyard, contact Kelly Regan at 504-304-3595.
Volunteer
Some parents and community volunteers assist on-site almost daily while others tutor or assist in the cafeteria once a week; still others have a work schedule that does not allow that flexibility but help out with special events such as field trips or community garden days. To check out available volunteer opportunities, contact our Outreach Coordinators: Donovan DiLorenzo at green@nooutreach.org or Aria Mason at ashe@nooutreach.org If you would like to volunteer in the Edible Schoolyard, please contact Kelly Regan at 504-304-3595,
Donate
